With Magellan OSP, users can easily see their scanner’s configurations and settings using the applications’ simple but effective Windows style GUI. In addition to the standard programming items most commonly found in the Magellan Product Reference Guides, Magellan OSP allows users to do more advanced and complex configuration changes that would be too cumbersome to do with programming bar codes alone. Default configuration changes can be viewed and manipulated offline (without a scanner connected) and saved for future uploading to a scanner or they can be downloaded from any connected scanner and manipulated in real-time, providing the user with more convenience when changes need to be made. For even more flexibility, Magellan OSP allows users to update their scanners firmware (or application code) as a single task or in combination with a configuration file update.
